Ah, right. I got distracted for a while there. Let me see, I wanted to tell you that I decided that I would reveal myself after all, and therefore if you want me to come with you to any more photoshoots, just ask.

And what was the other thing - ah, right! One of my friends offered his beach house for us for watching films. It's a bit of a trek, half an hour or so, but it's on the coast and so it should be far enough away from the city to make things easier for you.

Heh, I'm glad to hear that. You going to make some kind of announcement to the public about it, or just go about your business like oh, this is what's happening?

A beach house! Sounds decadent. Is it? Have you been out of the city lately?

I need to talk to my agent before I decide that. But probably; if I can sell it as a feature then I can make sure that it's released positively.

It probably is, knowing her! I haven't actually been out there myself yet. I haven't been out since before Christmas, and even before then... forgetting and then remembering was too disconcerting so I tried to avoid it.

Oooh. Think she'll mind if I use her shower? [It is the biggest pain in the world bathing while being a big harpy thing. Julien tends to leave Locke at least once a week just to take a bath without having to make a production about it.] Mmm, well, it seems like how much people forget now is all variable. You might end up going "Why am I old?" and I can't say I wouldn't tease about that. But "I'm going with this cheerful mutant kid to watch something and let him cook for me" is easy enough to remember.

I'll ask, but I'm sure it'll be fine as long as we clean up! [Which is more or less what the conditions of borrowing it was. She gets the security of knowing that the place is being checked once a week when otherwise it's mostly empty.] I'm more likely to end up wondering why I'm young, I think. I hope I forget Quenyan for a while. It's a nice enough language, but it makes conversations tiring. How does it effect you?

Well, I'm more human, but I still kinda look weird. Like I have claws and some of my skin's red, my feet are big and like... chimp-y, and it's like I have fur on my arms. And I always kinda feel like I should be really big and ponderous, so I have to talk myself into using chairs like a normal person. I think that's why I don't forget as much as some people.

That sounds almost worse than what you have to put up with now. [Unseen, he's frowning. He's aware he's gotten off lightly in comparison to Julien.]

Well, with a place sorted, it's just a case of finding a time that'll work for us. I teach on tuesday and wednesday, but any other time I should be able to work around.

It's not, really. I just look weird. And can't wear my own shoes, which kinda sucks since, y'know, I had some nice ones.

Ah yeah I forgot about you teaching! Don't you have to do paperwork for that too? Anyway, my schedule's pretty open, unfortunately. [Before he changed he liked to have himself booked heavily with clinic time, rounds of bird-visits, and social events. It made him feel useful.] But I think I'm supposed to be at Askell's studio on I don't know how much of Monday, and I try and take baths every Sunday and Thursday, but I can combine that into this if I get to use your friend's shower.

I try and do the paperwork as much as I can around my teaching hours. I'm in office both days, but only teach four lectures. [Of course there's tutoring to manage too, and it always does run over, but he has the rest of the week to do it, so it's never been a problem.]

Perhaps Friday or Saturday would be best, then. Friday would be preferable for me.

[Julien nods.] Friday works. Would this be afternoon, all day, what? It'd have to be a few hours at least, especially if it's much of a ride.

I would have had to leave if I'd wanted to keep things secret. Now all I need to worry about is eventually being mistaken for a student!

Afternoon? I can pick you up around midday, maybe one, and as long as we leave after six we shouldn't have to worry about traffic. That gives us plenty of time to watch something and for you to bathe.

Hang a sign around your neck. "Actually An Old Fogey". That should do it. Or wear tweed everywhere. Or polyester! Though, wait, they might think you're a hipster.

Sounds good. I can fit along the back seats in a car as long as it's not too small.

Please, I might not have that much interest in fashion but I like to think I don't totally look like a walking disaster. Or a hipster. I'll stick with the sign. Or maybe get one of the makeup girls to teach me how to paint wrinkles onto my face.

I'm going to schedule it when Suzaku is out at the base. Did not actually tell him I want to throw something there. He's weirded out enough just seeing me, I think he'd turn into a block of wood if he saw a bunch of people there. Guy has less social skills than you. :P

I was thinking about this weekend, but if my friends are getting stalked by mobsters like in D-level noir that might be inappropriate. Maybe if it was extra casual.

Especially when they're having a rough patch they need a safe place to relax, don't they? Just make sure nobody gets stalked when going there.
